GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre is the largest rehabilitation hospital in the province of British Columbia. It has interdisciplinary inpatient and outpatient programs in acquired brain injury (stroke and traumatic brain injury), spinal cord injury and neuromuscular injuries. It also has a vibrant research program. The tour will introduce attendees to the different units (e.g., spinal cord, acquired brain injury) as well as visit several programs such as assistive technology, physiotherapy, driver rehabilitation, wheelchair services, and the adolescent and young adult school program. The hospital is approximately a 30-minute drive from the Convention Centre. Attendees are responsible for their own travel to and from the site. We recommend that attendees share a taxi or rideshare service. This activity was placed during work hours to ensure the presence of GF Strong clinicians and patients. However, as the tour will enter patient and work spaces, the number of attendees will be limited.
