Unfortunately, some participants have reported that they encountered problems when applying for a visa to travel to Canada.

For registered participants we can provide an invitation letter for visa purposes. Please contact registration@conventus.de if you wish to receive such an invitation letter.

Furthermore, we recommend that you ask your employer for a letter that confirms your employment and that you have their permission to attend the WCNR in Vancouver in a professional capacity. This can illustrate the kinds of commitments you have in your country of residence and that you intend to return there. Recent bank statements that show that you have the necessary funds to travel are also very useful.

Some participants have received fraudulent emails claiming to offer assistance with visa applications. The senders pretend to write on behalf of the congress organisers, Conventus, or the WFNR. Please note that these emails are not legitimate. It is highly likely that these are connected to fraudulent activities ( e.g. phishing) by companies or individuals who are intending to request credit card details from congress participants. Please do not give such details to anyone who cannot be clearly identified as an employee of the congress organisers, Conventus. If you receive such an email, please inform us immediately, preferably via datenschutz@conventus.de.

Vancouver International Airport (YVR)
Located just 25 minutes from downtown, YVR is consistently rated one of the best airports in North America. There are more than a dozen international flights in and out of YVR every day. Air Canada is your best choice to Vancouver with the most non-stop flights and access from over 190 cities worldwide.

Getting to/from the Airport
The SkyTrain’s Canada Line provides rapid rail service linking YVR to downtown Vancouver. Trains leave the airport station approximately every seven minutes during most times of the day. There are 16 stops along the line. The trip from YVR to downtown Vancouver takes only 26 minutes on a two zone fare of $4.25, plus the $5.00 Canada Line YVR AddFare.

Whether you are coming from the airport, a local hotel or elsewhere in and beyond Metro Vancouver, there are many convenient and green options to get to the WCNR 2024. Take the efficient transit system featuring the SkyTrain, buses and the SeaBus or the plentiful taxis in the city. You can also use this planner provided by TransLink.

Situated in one of the world's most walkable cities, the Convention Centre is also easily accessible on foot from the many downtown hotels.

The Vancouver Convention Centre offers secure parking through independent operators within both buildings. They operate 24 hours per day, 7 days a week on a first come, first serve basis.

West Building (1055 Canada Pl)
Enter off of Canada Place, ½ block west of the Burrard Street intersection on the right-hand side. The West building has 440 stalls and is operated by Impark. Impark can be reached at +1-866-277-5501.

East Building (999 Canada Pl)
Enter at the foot of Howe Street. The East building has 750 stalls and is operated by Indigo. Indigo can be reached at +1-866-856-8080
